The Carter AFB 9000 Series 625 CFM carburettor is a modern continuation of one of the most respected street-performance carburettor designs ever produced. Originally developed in the 1950s and refined over decades, the AFB (Aluminium Four Barrel) remains a favourite for classic V8 engines thanks to its smooth operation, excellent fuel control and straightforward tuning.
This 625 CFM manual choke model is a non-emission configuration and is well suited to small and medium displacement V8s used in street and mild performance applications. The lightweight aluminium construction reduces heat soak, while the auxiliary air valve secondary system ensures fuel delivery matches engine air demand for clean, progressive power.
