This Nitrophyl float is a modern upgrade for Weber 40 and 45 DCOE carburettors, replacing outdated brass floats that are prone to failure in ethanol-rich fuels. Unlike brass designs that can develop pinhole leaks at soldered joints, Nitrophyl floats are impervious to ethanol corrosion and maintain buoyancy over time. This helps avoid overfilling, fuel wastage, and running issues caused by a sunken float. A smart preventative maintenance choice for street and performance engines running modern unleaded fuel.
